MUSCATINE — A Muscatine County Sheriff's deputy received minor injuries during a crash Tuesday afternoon, which damaged a squad car.
Around 4:28 p.m., a sheriff's deputy was responding to a shots fired call in Muscatine. Heading northbound on Stewart Road, the car collided with another vehicle at the intersection with Dick Drake Way, according to Sheriff C.J. Ryan.
The deputy was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, was treated and released. The sheriff said the 2014 squad car is believed to be totaled.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
