About 9 p.m. Tuesday night, the Muscatine Police Department received a call saying a group of teenagers were beating a man with a baseball bat in the area of East 6th Street and Walnut Street in Muscatine. When the police arrived, they found that two people had been injured in the incident. One person was found stabbed and a second person, who had been beaten, was found in the 500 block of Cedar Street.

Four teenagers fled the scene. Police are still investigating. The identities of the teenagers are known, but are not being released due to the ongoing investigation. 

The two injured people were transported to Trinity Hospital where they were being treated for non-life threatening injuries Tuesday night. 

The Police Department wants the public to know this is an isolated incident and the public is not in any immediate danger.
