MUSCATINE, Iowa — Former Iowa Hawkeye and National Football League player Tim Dwight will headline a Muscatine conference to be held next week on renewable energy.

“Exploring Muscatine’s Renewable Energy Future” will be held from 1-4:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Clarion Hotel in Muscatine, 2915 U.S. Highway 61 North.

Regi-stration begins at 12:30 p.m.

The free event is being sponsored by Clean Air Muscatine, Physicians for Social Responsibility, the Iowa Solar Energy Cooperative and iPower.

Dwight is president of Iowa Solar and the Small Wind Energy Trade Association.

Other speakers will present on health, energy, climate, engineering and

city planning.

Presentations will include a cost benefit analysis of renewables, rate of return on investments and improvements to environmental health.
