UPDATE: Name of deceased released. 

MUSCATINE, Iowa — A 29-year-old man, Torkor Dahn, died Friday, May 23, while working at Fabricators Plus, 3206 Hershey Ave., in Muscatine. Muscatine Fire Department personnel were dispatched at 2:58 p.m. Friday, May 23, to the business. 

An autopsy was performed at the University of Iowa on Saturday. Muscatine medical examiners are waiting on the results to officially state cause of death.

An official procedural investigation has been initiated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), although Stephen Slater, Iowa OSHA Administrator, said the length of time to conduct the investigation is still undetermined. 

Managers with the company would not comment at this time. According to their website, Fabricators Plus provides metal fabrication and contract manufacturing solutions to a variety of industries including lighting, furniture, construction, mining, agriculture and appliances. Fabricators Plus also assists customers to procure, engineer and produce components necessary for daily manufacturing operations.
