VIRGINIA, Minn.—Amy Jean Elg, 36, passed away unexpectedly Friday Aug. 10, 2012, in Virginia, Minn.

Rev. Joel Hegener will be officiating, services by Ziemer Moeglin Shatava Funeral Home.

Amy was born March 9, 1976, to Gary and Connie (Salo) Elg in Virginia, Minn. She graduated from Eveleth Gilbert High School '94, and Mesabi Range College with an EDAS degree, and she worked as a home health aide. Amy loved her family, especially her son Wyatt. Her generous nature, bubbly personality and smile made it easy for Amy to make friends with anyone. Her creativity came out through drawing, and poetry. Amy is dearly loved and will be sorely missed.   

Amy is survived by her son Wyatt Sigman; her parents; sisters Sherri (Shad Jacka) Elg, Alisha (Kyle) Meyers, Kaylin Elg, brother Andrew (Carrie) Elg; grandparents Jean and Leroy Salo, Charlotte and Joe Fry; extended family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by grandfather Kenneth Elg; Aunt Darlene Lee.
