MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa - Douglas Wayne Noble, 52, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Mt. Pleasant.
A memorial has been established in his name.
He was born April 13, 1961, in Muscatine, to Dean Edward and Betty Jean (George) Noble. He was a 1982 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. On March 9, 1985, he married Karen S. Hanna in Mt. Pleasant. The couple later divorced.
He was a cement finisher who worked for H. Eugene Smith Construction, and most recently was employed by Robert L. Smith Construction.
His favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He enjoyed metal detecting, and collected coins and arrowhead. He liked to fish, camp and cook and especially enjoyed smoking meat.
Survivors include daughters, Krystal (Edgar) Perez and Laura Noble, both of Mt. Pleasant; son, Kyle Noble, Mt. Pleasant; grandson, Austin Tyler Adams, Mt. Pleasant; a grandchild to be born in October; brothers, Mike (Judy Gholson) Noble, Salem, Iowa, Danny Noble, New London, and Dean Noble, Mt. Pleasant; sister, Lynn (Kenny) Szewczyk; his girlfriend, Sandra Hoover, Wayland, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Doug was preceded in death by two sisters, Deana “Katy” Brook and Debbie Carpenter.
