MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa – Iowa Wesleyan College head men’s soccer coach Brocklon Chatman announced the signing of Caleb Bemis of Letts with the Tigers for the 2011 season.
Bemis comes to Iowa Wesleyan from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, where he played soccer for the past two seasons.
A defender, he was named second team all-Iowa Community College Athletic Conference as well as to the All-NJCAA Region XI Team. He helped the Warriors to a 9-8 record in 2010 in the Indian Hills programs’ fourth year of existence.
“Caleb is a strong, hard-working defender, we’re excited to have him this fall,” Chatman said. “He will be expected to challenge for a starting spot in the defense.”
Bemis is a 2009 graduate of Louisa-Muscatine High School and he was a four-year varsity player in soccer for Muscatine High School. He is the son of Knute Bemis and Jennifer Bemis.
