A trio of top 20 finishes from junior Easton Botkins and sophomore Zach Hein led to a fourth place finish for the Durant boys cross country team at the River Valley Conference Championship meet.
Botkins placed 15th in 18:18.27, Hein followed closely behind in 16th in 18:21.28 and junior Jack Voss placed 20th in 18:48.46.
Wilton's Buddy Darting was the top area runner on either division, as the sophomore placed fourth in 17:41.41. Senior Noah Brown placed 17th in 18:28.51 and Wilton placed eighth as a team. West Liberty placed 12th as a team and its top runner was Ashton LeMay, as the freshman placed 72nd in 20:32.74.
Bellevue ran away with the team title, as it had four runners place in the top seven.
On the girls side, junior Linsey Ford and sophomore Emmy Drake led Wilton to an eighth place finish. Ford placed 31st in 22:49.75, and Drake placed 33rd in 22:50.28.
Juniors Eliana Berry and Tori Novinski each placed in the top 50 to lead Durant to a ninth place team finish. Berry placed 37th in 23:.22.15 and Novinski placed 47th in 24:07.
Jimena Fierro was the top area runner on the girls side, as the West Liberty sophomore placed 16th in 22:03 and the Comets placed 12th as a team.
Mid-Prairie boasted the top two placers and as a result came away with the team title on the girls side.
