The Durant Wildcats football team (4-5, 3-4) had no shortage of recognition on the Class 1A District 3 all-district team, landing three on the first team, two on the second team and three with honorable mentions.
Bryce Lafrenz, who was named a Most Valuable Performer at punter, joined teammates Mason Compton and Dawson Frett as first-team selections.
Lafrenz, a junior, completed 89 of 157 passes for 1,361 yards and 14 touchdowns as the Wildcats starting quarterback. He also had 23 punts for 806 yards, averaging 35.0 yards per punt.
Compton was the district's fifth-leading receiver with 33 catches for 514 yards and six touchdowns. The junior also collected 25.5 total tackles, two interceptions and one fumble recovery on defense.
Dawson Frett, a senior, was the Wildcats' second-leading tackler, accounting for 61.5 total tackles and two solo sacks.
Senior Cale Frett and junior Tristan Hughes both landed on the second team, while senior Curtis Lilienthal, junior Zac Badtram and senior Cole Miedema all earned honorable mentions.
