Local Journalism Matters

My work at the paper allows me the opportunity to capture otherwise fleeting
moments in the Quad-City area. I am a fly on the wall when invited into a home but
an eyepiece for my community when documenting our history in the form of floods,
presidential elections and anything else that passes through the Quad-Cities.
I get to learn each day from the people I meet and photograph. I work by exploring
my own visual curiosity, allowing the story to lead me where it may and doing
whatever it may take to simply get the story out.
