Immediate Adjunct Instructor Opportunities

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges are seeking qualified instructors for the following positions. Adjunct teaching
may include teaching in a traditional classroom, in an online format, using streaming technology, or in a flex-class
combining two or more formats.
Scott Community College (Urban Campus) – Spring 2020 –
Medical Assisting (Medical Office Management)- Minimum qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant with two
years of experience in field.
Scott Community College – Belmont Campus - Spring 2020
Computer Literacy/Intro to Computers - Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in business administration with
demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Products or a Master’s degree in Technology.

Online Classes - Spring 2020 –
Introduction to Philosophy - Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in philosophy or master’s degree with at least
18GSH in a combination of philosophy, aesthetics studies, educational philosophy, ethics, theology, or world religion.
Introduction to Ethics - Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in philosophy or master’s degree with at least
18GSH in a combination of philosophy, aesthetics studies, educational philosophy, ethics, theology, or world religion.
Plant Biology - Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in biology or a master’s degree with at least 18GSH in
a combination of biochemistry, biomedical sciences, botany, environmental science, horticulture, marine biology,
microbiology, virology, or zoology.
Microbiology - Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in biology or a master’s degree with at least 18GSH in
a combination of biochemistry, biomedical sciences, botany, environmental science, horticulture, marine biology,
microbiology, virology, or zoology.
