...SNOW TO WIND DOWN THIS MORNING WITH TRAVEL REMAINING HAZARDOUS...

.SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO GRADUALLY TAPER OFF TO FLURRIES THROUGH MID MORNING. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF FAR EASTERN IOWA, AND NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS, WITH LITTLE IF ANY ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION EXPECTED ELSEWHERE. EVEN THOUGH THE ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL BE ENDING, TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL REMAIN HAZARDOUS THROUGHOUT THE MORNING DUE TO DRIFTING SNOW AND PATCHY BLOWING SNOW. EAST...WEST ROADWAYS WILL BE ESPECIALLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO CONSIDERABLE DRIFTING OF SNOW, WITH SOME DRIFTS OF 1 TO 2 FEET POSSIBLE. IN ADDITION AFTER THE SNOW ENDS PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE, WHICH COULD MAINTAIN THE SLICK CONDITIONS OR CREATE ADDITIONAL SLIPPERY TRAVEL.
