The Louisa County Sheriff's Department released its account of last Sunday's violent disturbance in rural Muscatine.
On Sunday at approximately 3:18 a.m., the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a disturbance in the area of 172nd Street and 93rd Avenue, rural Muscatine, Louisa County. It was reported that there were multiple male subjects outside of a residence with weapons.
Law Enforcement responded. Two people were transported to the Muscatine hospital by ambulance. One of these people had a single gunshot wound and was released from medical care within approximately one hour. The other was treated and released as well. This does not appear to be a random act of violence, the sheriff's department said. The case remains under investigation.
