WAPELLO – Three Muscatine men were arrested by the Louisa County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday in connection with a disturbance early Sunday morning that sent two men to the hospital for treatment.

The Louisa County Sheriff’s Department took a call at 3:19 a.m. Sunday for a disturbance in the area of 172nd Street and 93rd Avenue in rural Muscatine. Two men were taken by ambulance to the Muscatine hospital and were treated and released.

On Wednesday, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Department arrested three men in connection with the disturbance. They are:

  •  Michael Anthony Enriquez, 19, of Muscatine, who was charged with burglary in the first degree, a Class B felony, and willful injury, a Class C felony. He is being held in the Louisa County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond following his initial court appearance.
  •  Alvaro Escobar Jr., 26, of Muscatine, who has been charged with burglary in the first degree and willful injury. He also is being held in the Louisa County Jail on a $150,000 cash-only bond following his initial court appearance.
  • Julio Decar Menjivar, 20, of Muscatine, who has been charged with burglary in the first degree and willful injury. Menjivar is also being held in the Louisa County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond following his initial court appearance.

A Class B felony is punishable by a term of up to 25 years in the state penitentiary. A Class C felony is punishable by a term of up to 10 years in the state penitentiary.

The case is still being investigated, the sheriff’s department release said.
