MUSCATINE, Iowa — A Muscatine man was arrested for first-degree robbery, a class B felony.
According to court documents, Schyular James Phillips, 38, whose address was not listed, entered Wal-Mart on Oct. 30 and attempted to steal items. Phillips was taken into a store office by security personnel, where he brandished a folding knife with an approximately 3-inch blade and threatened to stab employees because they would not allow him to leave.
A class B felony carries a prison term up to 25 years.
Phillips is being held at the Muscatine County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond. A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10.
