MUSCATINE, Iowa — Authorities have released the name of a victim found near Mad Creek this week after an autopsy positively identified the body.

Joshua Cane Connor, 36, of Muscatine, was found Tuesday morning. Police were called to 700 block of East Second Street at 8:37 a.m. Dec. 1, 2015, in response to a body found near the Mad Creek bridge there. Officers found a deceased male and he was taken to Iowa City for an autopsy.

Preliminary findings by the University of Iowa forensic pathologist found no indication of foul play, stated a press release from the Muscatine Police Department Thursday morning.
