MUSCATINE, Iowa—Neil D. Lister, 43, of Muscatine died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics due to injuries sustained in an accident.
Following the service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at Calvary Church. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Neil.
Neil David Lister was born Dec. 21, 1970, in Mankato, Minn., the son of J. Richard and Karen L. (Andersen) Lister. He was employed by Road Machinery and Supply of Milan, Ill., as a service parts manager. Neil was a very social and patient man as well as a great encourager and protector to those he loved. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, working with heavy machinery, playing kickball with the neighborhood kids and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Neil will be deeply missed by his fianceé, Kim Coker of Davenport; children, Jacob Lister of Cedar Falls, Joseph Lister of Mason City and Dane Lister of New Jersey; step-children, Clayton and Parker Coker of Davenport; his unborn son, Sawyer Neil David Lister; mother, Karen Lister of Columbia, S.C.; sister, Kaaren Rue and husband, John, of Columbia, S.C.; nephews, Zachary and Joshua Rue; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Neil was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his father.
