MUSCATINE, Iowa — The Muscatine Children's Choirs will begin the new year for young singers in grades kindergarten through eighth on Monday, Sept. 14.
The children’s choirs rehearse 3:45-5 p.m. Mondays
The Muscatine Children’s and Youth Choirs offer young people in the Muscatine area an opportunity to develop their vocal talents and join with other musicians in making beautiful music.
The Muscatine Children’s Choir and Youth Choir sing regularly for churches, civic organizations, sporting events and nursing homes throughout the area. The choirs are regularly asked to perform with the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra and the Muscatine Civic Chorale. MCYC maintain an ongoing music program for the children of Grand-Bois Haiti as well as teacher training for Haitian teachers.
The Muscatine Children’s and Youth Choirs are directed by Richard A. Smith and Cynthia B. Smith. All choirs rehearse at Wesley United Methodist Church, 400 Iowa Ave.
