Western Illinois University (Macomb and Quad-Cities campuses), University weather advisory has been issued for both campuses from 1 p.m. until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

At this time, both campuses will remain open and classes will be held.

According to University policy, if an advisory is issued due to weather and students consider travel to campus unsafe, they should arrange with faculty to complete academic course requirements missed during the time of the advisory.

Groups and organizations

The German American Heritage Center annual meeting has been postponed and rescheduled for 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., February 12, because of the weather. 

Tonight's Scott County Planning and Zoning meeting has been postponed due to the weather. The meeting is postponed until 7 p.m., February 19.

The Davenport Management Update and Mayor/Council Discussion is canceled along with the 5th Ward meeting with Alderwoman Rita Rawson.

Individuals planning to use CitiBus for transportation today are encouraged to do so before 4 p.m.  Some or all buses may be removed from service later today due to weather.

The Bettendorf Public Library will close at 5 p.m. today and open two hours later at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Family Museum will cancel their afternoon and evening activities.

Herbert D Goettsch Community Center will close at 3 p.m. and open at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

The Bettendorf Life Fitness Center will close at 5 p.m. and reopen at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Palmer Hills (& Grill) will open at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Frozen Landing will close at 5 p.m. today.

The Tuesday Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Snow Star evening Ski and Snowboarding Program has been cancelled.

Eldridge is declaring a Snow Emergency from 5 p.m. tonight until 8 a.m. tomorrow. They ask that all cars be removed from city streets to allow treatment of the roads.
