BOONE, Iowa — Muscatine High School boys and girls swimming head coach Judd Anderson will be inducted into the Iowa High School Swim Coaches' Association's Hall of Fame, according to a press release from the Iowa High School Athletic Association issued Monday.
Anderson will be inducted alongside three former athletes — Clinton's Raymond Kearney, West Des Moines Dowling's Zachary Ferguson and Ames' Andrew W. VanMeter — prior to the start of the boys swimming state meet in Marshalltown on Saturday.
Anderson has a combined record of 667-379-5 in dual meets between his two Muskie teams, including five state championships. He helped create the IHSSCA and was the organization's first president.
In 2014, Anderson was given the Golden Plaque of Distinction by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and was inducted into the Quad-City Times' Sports Hall of Fame.
