Muscatine sophomore Alicia Garcia bends her knees before attempting a free throw in Tuesday's loss to Davenport Assumption.

The rosters for the girls' all-conference teams for the Mississippi Athletic Conference were announced Monday and included were three members of the Muscatine Muskies.

Sophomore Alicia Garcia was named to the first team, fellow sophomore Zoey Long was named to the second team, and senior Kayla Scholz was named honorable mention.

Under head coach Susan Orvis, the Muskies finished the season sixth in the MAC with an 8-13 record. Their season ended in the Class 5A regional semifinal at the hands of the Iowa City High Little Hawks.

Garcia averaged 11.2 points per game on 44.5 percent shooting, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks. All of which were team-best numbers. She also added an assist per game and shot 28.3 percent from three and 74.1 percent from the free throw line.

Last year as a freshman, Garcia was named to the All-MAC second team. She was also selected to the Journal's All-Area team in 2018. In October, Garcia gave a verbal commitment to Northern Iowa.

Long was second on the team in scoring average with a 9.6 mark. She led the team in three point makes, which she converted 51 of, while shooting 33.3 percent from deep and 80.8 percent from the charity stripe.

Scholz was one of three seniors on the Muskie squad and shot 38.5 percent from the floor, tied for second on the team behind Garcia. She also added a season total of 52 rebounds and 11 blocks.

North Scott's Grace Boffeli was named conference Player of the Year and Pleasant Valley's Jennifer Goetz was awarded the Coach of the Year honor.
